What is Nordic Walking ?

The use of poles has long traditions in cross-country skiing. The last few years this technique has been developed further for the use of poles on foot. Custom made poles adjusted to each user is used. The technique is fast and easy to learn and you get a workout which is unique and where a lot of muscles are used. The good thing is that this is a sport that suits everybody, both the regular exerciser and the top athlete.

The nature in Vrådal is perfect for Nordic Walking. The routes we have chosen are ranked easy to medium hard on the scale used by the German company "Nature Fitness Park", who has planned the facility and supplied signs and boards. The 9 routes vary in length from 1.2 km to 7.8 km. We have placed emphasis on finding routes that give you an experience of the beautiful nature Vrådal has to offer. The routes' exercise signs are placed in scenic locations.
